The Grand York Wedding – Wedding photographers York
The Grand York wedding Ariel and Steven had planned was full of British traditions. They wanted to show their families and friends a different type of celebration to their Chinese wedding. They chose The Grand, because they wanted a magnificent and stylish venue. They love the city and wanted it to be a part of their big day. For their private shoot after their ceremony we went for a long walk with not just the couple, but their closest family members and best friends. The museum gardens by the river is a spot they love, so we spent some time there with them.
The colour red in Chinese traditions, symbolises good fortune and joy. Ariel changed into her second dress for the evening do. It was red. Stunning, vibrant red. After the delicious wedding breakfast to which we were invited to, the speeches (mainly in Chinese) started off a fun filled evening where Chinese and British traditions met. Before the party kicked off we had time to sneak out with Ariel and Steven for an evening shoot in the hotel. We wanted to capture some of the gorgeous interior and the interesting fully mirrored walls in the elevator, which was Steven’s favourite feature.
The Grand never disappoints. No matter, if it’s a summer or winter wedding. It is a pleasure to work with such down to earth, highly qualified, professional staff in the only 5 star hotel in Yorkshire. We look forward coming back here every time.
