Wedding at the Devonshire Arms – Pauline&Luke
Wedding at The Devonshire Arms – Devonshire Arms Wedding Photographers
Autumn weddings can hold many of surprises. Waking up to a stunningly sunny, crisp day in November was more than Pauline and Luke could wish for. Their wedding at The Devonshire Arms was a perfect intimate gathering, a small celebration of their marriage. Whilst Pauline got ready, Luke spent the morning with their closest friends and family members.
They planned an untraditional twist. A first look, by the ruins of Bolton Abbey. Jonny and I were there to capture the moment. Pauline could have stepped out of a 1930’s film. I loved her simple yet stylish vintage look, and so did Luke. Couples seeing each other for the first time is beautiful and very emotional, whether it takes place before the ceremony or at the ceremony. Those few seconds, it’s only them. No one else matters nothing else exists. All the guests joined them for a few photos by the abbey and they walked back together for the ceremony. Pauline’s grandparents couldn’t make it over to the UK from France, therefore they joined in via Skype, which was a very sweet touch.
The early sunset gave us an amazing opportunity for the couple portraits. Pauline and Luke were mesmerised with each other. We couldn’t ask for more. They were natural. Their plans are in full flow for their big French wedding next Autumn, which we are already very excited about.
