Sunset Engagement Shoot Ilkley – Louise&Matt
Sunset Engagement Shoot Ilkley | Yorkshire Wedding Photographers
We met up with Louise & Matt for their sunset engagement shoot Ilkley and what a beautiful summer’s evening it was. The last rays of sunshine over the Ilkley Moors lit the valley in a stunning way. Time seemed to fly by with these two as we talked about their wedding plans. The big day is 6 months away, so Louise felt definitely very much in control as only a few things need to be sorted, she’s ultimately ready for the day.
It felt like we had the whole place at Cow & Calf to ourselves. There were only a few people left on the rocks at this late hour. Most had retreated for a nice cold drink and a hearty Yorkshire dinner to the nearby pub. We decided that was exactly what we should do, so we sat down with a drink and chatted a little more about their upcoming wedding at The Grand York. We love summer shoots but very much looking forward to this winter wedding in York. Seasons can bring such diversity to photographs, we love it.
My right ankle definitely needed a comfortable position after getting home though. Unfortunately, I twisted it with a fall at the beginning of the shoot and hopping around on cliffs was not the best remedy straight away. We are often told that we don’t do things by halves. It’s just how we are.
