Jervaulx Abbey Wedding – Jenny&Nathan
Jervaulx Abbey Wedding – Yorkshire Wedding Photographers
Jenny and Nathan’s Jervaulx Abbey wedding on this gorgeous sunny day was not far from an amazingly directed film. The theme was vintage. The venue, Jenny’s wedding dress, a swing band went beautifully with the theme.
While the girls were excitedly getting ready in Masham, I arrived at the ruins of Jervaulx Abbey. I found Nathan putting on the finishing touches to his and Jenny’s unique wedding venue. This place is privately owned and only a few weddings are held here every year. They both fell in love with it when they first visited. The weather was perfect for what Jenny wanted. She envisaged a relaxed outdoor humanist ceremony at the ruins with a marquee for dining and dancing.
Nathan and his brother / best man used the walls of the ruins for a quick change. They then double and triple checked their speeches and that the whole venue was in order before joining the little ushers who were handing out newspapers to the gathering guests. The papers were printed with the schedule of the day and stories of the bride & groom. I loved this special touch. In fact I loved every little detail, this wedding was truly magical. The hearty British food, the hilarious speeches going late into the evening and the great party atmosphere made Jenny and Nathan’s Jervaulx Abbey celebration one hell of a good wedding.
